Is thjs really your own place?? Looks like a female's.....i might be wrong but you slept over at your sisters(if u hv one) or some friend's...... Not drinking(our atleast not to an high extent)
ReplyDeleteThis is good, but it would be better if we had the reasons for these conclusions. Why do you think this is someone else's house? Why female? And (I'm mostly curious about this one) how can you be so sure there was no alcohol involved?

ReplyDeleteRoom indicates that at least a female owns the place (more specific your parents place) and it seems to be some sort of family event. - The flowers and the old furniture shows female, the taboo game and the fact that you have this picture 5 years after it was taken, says me that it was taken by a relative (sister/mother?)

Definitely not my place. House belongs to a friend's parents. It was a family event of sorts. I'm not a blood relative, but after this long, I may as well be. To be honest, I'm not actually sure who it was that took the photograph, although just about everyone had woken up before me by this point. Most likely, it was my friend's mother.

Well metadata says 2009. However i'm not that experienced with metadata so i might be completely wrong
DeleteAs for the date of departure there are multiple things. Had you planned to stay longer you would most likely have had brought something more comfortable to sleep in (tank top, boxers or something like that). Had you wished to stay longer, the sofa pillows would also be more likely to be wrapped in linen (I can't actually tell if they are, but i don't think they are covered with linen).
Also i just got a realization, i know it's a bit cheaty now i got some stuff confirmed..
The events prior to your sleep was with little to no alcohol. You weren't affected by alcohol when you went to sleep. A drunk person usually doesn't give a damn about sleeping with his watch or belt on. And that the person taking the photograph is awake before you, suggests that she neither was influenced be alcohol (Bit of a farfetched perhaps).
You weren't the only one visiting, right? There's a pillow under your head but also one on the couch, presumably for the friend who slept there. We know it's a family gathering because of the photo albums on the table, and you might have drunk a little, but weren't wasted, otherwise you, as someone already mentioned, wouldn't have bothered to empty your pockets and especially take of your belt. This kind of relationship with another person's parents is often indicative of a romantic relationship, but referring to that person only as a "friend" means ex. Thinking about it, maybe I'm wrong about somebody else sleeping on the couch, maybe you just like the floor better.

Haha, that is a very interesting point about the knife. I tend to use the pocketknife as an all-purpose utility tool. I have had no romantic involvement with the friend at whose house I was staying. We have been best friends since kindergarten. There were other people sleeping on other couches, but I was the only one sleeping on that one.
DeleteI want to say that you were sleeping on the couch, but rolled off. However, that hadn't occurred immediately before the photo had been taken, as in the interim you retrieved a small pillow to put under your head, perhaps because you were too tired to get up and back on the couch.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very good observation. About the second pillow. I was not, however, responsible for its appearance. It seems someone who woke up before me took pity on me and placed a pillow under my head.
DeleteObviously not your place. There is little to no reason for you to have flowers unless you were living with a female (girlfriend, sister, mom, etc). The photo was not taken by you and you have no reason to be sleeping on the couch at your own house. You fell off the couch but someone woke up before you who was beside the couch which explains the pillow under your head. The pillow from the couch moved slightly over when you fell out and your subconcious turned your head to prevent you from waking up from sunlight mostly likely you had a late night. You woke up late as someone took a photo of you and the light looked like that of about 8 to 9 amish. This indicates that you were at a family like event but not at the house you grew up in though because you would most likely still have a room and a bed. You were most likely at a event with family and close friends because you had photo albums out. It is unlikely you were at a family members house though. Thankyou for reading.
ReplyDeleteSuper job! I love the bit about the head turning. It had not occurred to me to list that as a possible deduction. This challenge was more about the logic behind the picture rather than what could actually be physically observed, and you totally nailed it. I'm very impressed.
